Supportability
The GKN Aerospace Engineering Services (GKNAES)  Systems Group at Yeovil has consolidated experience in most areas of Supportability. Principally, this experience is in both providing support to Major contractors and in managing Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programmes.

This experience includes the production of ILS plans and documents down to task analysis including Reliability, Maintainability, Safety, FMEA and FMECA, Spares, Tools and Support/Test equipment. The System Group Supportability Team has a high level of experience in providing both comprehensive ILS management and detailed task analysis to projects for major prime aerospace / vehicle contractors and other organisations. Based upon these skills, qualifications, and experience; GKNAES is able to offer cost-effective, comprehensive or specific consultancy services to Authority Project and Equipment Support Managers.

In general, supportability requirements are mandated through formal processes as laid down in ILS standards such as Mil-Std 1388 and Def-Stan 00-60.

The supportability team is fully conversant with these and many of the related standards and understand many of the requirements and constraints placed upon projects.

GKNAES is well qualified to advise and provide the necessary expertise using our management experience and employing many of the analysis tools and techniques. GKNAES is an ISO 9001:2000 accredited organisation and can ensure the production of high quality documentation and analysis to meet customer´s requirements.
